True freehouse far from villages on a B-road, getting custom mainly from regulars and locals. Grade II listed building of early 19th century. There is a single bar inside with a country pub feel, with high-backed bench seats , cream-painted walls and open fires. Restaurant. Terraced seating overlooks a bowling green.

Open 4-11 Monday - Friday; noon-11 Sat; noon-10.30 Sun
Food: 5-9 (10 Fri), Sun 12-8, not Mon
Getting there: On B5272 3 miles north of Garstang. No useful buses.
