At first sight, this former farmhouse is in the middle of nowhere, but as the nearby village and the country beyond have no pubs, it is the local for quite a lot of people. Strangers are not cold-shouldered either. The main entrance gives onto an old-fashioned hall with loads od old prints: the main bar, oak-beamed and with pews and (usually) a roaring fire is to the right, the dining-room, opened 2004, to the left. There are two rooms off the bar, one designated a family room. There is a permanent marquee for functions in the garden and an ice-cream van on site in the summer.
